Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), Kushtia Islamic University, North South University and Victoria University in Bangladesh have people involved in militant activities. In Rajshahi University there are at least 50 students involved in militancy.

Did you know that China's current water resource is relatively low, 2,200 cubic meters per person on average, while the country supports 21 percent of the world's population with only 7 percent of the world's water resource.
With the mere exception of Haiti and Yemen, South Asia’s human development indicators are below that of any country in Asia or Latin America, North America and Europe. In other words, South Asia’s quality of life is just better than Sub-Saharan Africa.
The situation for women in the South Asian region is one of the worst in the world. For every 100 men, there are 93 women, against the global norm of 106 women for every 100 men. Girls born in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are 30-50% more likely to die before their 5th birthdays.
Lashkar-e-Taiba, which is said to replace Al Qaeda as the dian of global terrorism own a 190 acre campus, 500 offices, 2200 training camps, 150 model schools, 2 science colleges, 3 hospitals, 34 dispensaries, 11 ambulance services, plus a publishing empire, garment factory, iron foundry, and woodworks factories. It has more than 300,000 cadres at its disposal and pays a salary to their top-bracket functionary that is 12-15 times greater than a similar job in the civilian sector.
At the heart of Iran’s economy are two foundations that are not only funded by the petro-budget but are exempted from taxes. The Sazman-e-Omour-e-Isargaran, controls more than 4,00 companies and factories while the Komiteh Emdad Emam Khomeini Foundation provides scholarship to half a million students in Iran. Further, more than 5 million poor Iranians are employed with and earn their livelihood from these foundations and hence are likely to always support the Ayatollahs that provide for them.
In the United States, 30 out of 50 states have more than 40% of their households earning a meagre income of less than 3,000 per month per household. According to the U.S. Mayor’s conference (Taskforce on Hunger and Homelessness) requests for emergency shelter assistance has increased in 20 cities. In the last few years 35 million Americans suffer from hunger and food security.
Around 100 out of the 190 plus groups engaging in terror are still motivated by the old fashioned causes of socio-economic revolution and self-determination. Only about one fourth of these groups are motivated by religious pursuits such as an Islamic agenda.
India’s IT sector employs less than 1 million workers out of a total labour force of 400 million. Taking an optimistic view, at most, only 5 million people will be employed by the IT sector by 2025 out of a total labour force of 600 million.
In the last five years, American Evangelicals, religious right groups, collectively made as much as U.S. $2.66 trillion in income. Religious observers i.e. those who attend weekly religious services donate as much as 3.4% of their income annually, in comparison non-religious people give 1.1 to 1.4% of their income. Further, in a typical month 6 out of every 10 adults donates money to a church or other non-profit organizations and 26% of adults that give money to a church also contribute funds to other religious non profit organizations. In addition, 50,000 American foundations annually give away over U.S. $22 billion – this accounts for only 7% of all philanthropy. Individuals, both, living and dead contribute over 88% of America’s charitable giving.

Chinese peasants pay approximately 360 different forms of taxes and fees to different levels of the government. In addition, there are charges for road repairs, housing construction, veterinary services, and police uniforms, motorbikes and megaphones.
