SFG President Dr Sundeep Waslekar addressed the United Nations Security Council during an Open Debate on Water, Peace and Security that was organised for the first time on November 22, 2016, in New York

Strategic Foresight Group, along with the Government of Switzerland, has created the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace. The Global High-Level Panel is expected to propose a global architecture for water and peace, including prevention and resolution of water-related conflicts and the use of water as an instrument of peace and security.

Strategic Foresight Group has created the first ever barometer for measuring the quantity and quality of trans-boundary water cooperation and its relationship with the risk of war. The Water Cooperation Quotient is a tool for the countries sharing a fresh water resource to advance in their cooperation to such an extent that it contributes to comprehensive peace and security in that region. 

Strategic Foresight Group collaborated with the UN Alliance of Civilizations to convene a panel discussion on 'Constructing Peace, Deconstructing Terror' at the 7th UNAOC Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan on 26-27th April 2016.
