President Bill Clinton
“I was pleased by your commitment to tolerance and understanding, and I appreciate your taking the time to share your remarks with me. I also want to thank you for updating me on the recent work of Strategic Foresight Group. All the best to you”.
Bob Taft, Governor of the State of Ohio U.S.A.
“The Strategic Foresight Group appears to be making great strides in working to improve and unify the world. Your keynote address as very inspiring and provided hope in reaffirming the human spirit. We recognize and support the idea that the world needs a solution to the issue of global security. Millions of people are excluded from becoming participants in world progress and are unable to access opportunities to succeed. Thank you again for your letter. Your dedication and commitment in creating an inclusive world are greatly appreciated. I would like to wish you all the best in your future endeavours.”
Dr. Thomas Hajnoczi, Austrian Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs
On behalf of the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Dr. Ursula Plassnik. “The initiative of the Strategic Foresight Group to discuss, on a broad international level, the problem of how to dissuade young people from taking up violence is highly laudable, also in the context of contributing to sustainable international security through an enhanced dialogue between cultures – an approach which Austria is supporting with particular emphasis.”
Jim Matheson on behalf of Hon. Steve Maharey, Ministry of Education New Zealand
“The problem of violent behaviour that can occur with school students is one the ministry addresses through a number of different avenues. The New Zealand statement ‘Health and Physical Education in the New Zealand Curriculum’ taught in all schools, is underpinned by four concepts; namely Well-being, health promotion, the socio-economic perspective, and the importance of attitudes and values. The ministry also provides to schools an ‘Eliminating Violence’ programme being offered to schools progressively throughout New Zealand is also designed in part to build resilience to anti-social behaviour. As you can appreciate from programmes such as these, the ministry accepts it has a role in helping schools develop resources that address the issue of violence. Should you wish to explore possible ways to further a strategic partnership for this initiative, you could contact us.”
Kathleen M. Mektan, Director, ADB
“We note the objectives and valuable work of your organization to deconstruct terror. Inclusiveness of economic growth is extremely important to tackle the inequalities which persist in many of our developing countries (DMC’s) in the Asia-Pacific region.”
Michael E. Hess, USAID
“Your thoughts and ideas are revolutionary. I appreciate your passion and insight into the developing world. You have a unique perspective from living in a country that has undergone a long-suffering “transformation. The USAID is committed to partnering with thought leaders such as yourself to keep our programs grounded and focused on the vital needs as expressed by people receiving the aid. Transformational development can work. It has worked in India. I strive everyday to oversee my Bureau in such a way as to ensure our programs are driving this type of successful development. Again, thanks for sharing your remarks with me. I applaud your vision and enthusiasm to make a difference.”
Antonio Vives, IDB on behalf of Mr. Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the Inter-American Development Bank.
“In your address, you take up what is perhaps the greatest challenge before the international community today – the organization of coordinated joint action towards the global common good and the need for coalition that includes and validates the contributions of emerging countries in addition to what is generally referred to as the G-8. Indeed, your analysis of the emerging global distribution of capabilities that leads you to posit three groups of eight (a new G-24) deserves attention.”
H.E. Robert Gorbach, Federal Minister of Transport, Technology and Innovation
“I do also think that it is important for the future to look for possibilities to prevent the youth from being affected by terror and violence and therefore I appreciate your initiative of bringing together political leaders from all over the world.” |
