Jot is a member of the 'Asian Horizons' team, working on emerging trends in the South Asian and Southeast Asian regions. Her work involves preparing and writing research reports. Her area of focus within Asian Horizons is Indonesia. She earlier concentrated on Thailand and Vietnam.

Prior to joining SFG, she worked for grass root NGOs in Delhi including "Goonj" and "Amar Jyoti". She also has experience in financial research for Capital IQ, A Division of Standard and Poor's.

Jot earned her MA in International Relations from University of Sydney. She also holds a Masters degree in Financial Control from Punjab University. Jot completed her Bachelors degree in Commerce from University of Delhi.
