Sahiba is the Joint Coordinator for the South Asia Security Unit and the Horizon Scanning Unit (Asia). As Joint Coordinator for the South Asia Security Unit, she is responsible for collating reports and analyzing the socio-political, economic, environmental and security-related developments in the region. As Joint Coordinator of the Horizon Scanning Unit (Asia), she co-leads a team analysing emerging trends impacting poor populations in South and South East Asia. Her individual area of focus within the 'Asian Horizons' team is Vietnam. She has earlier worked on Indonesia.
Prior to this Sahiba worked extensively on water security in Asia. She is the co-author of 'The Indus Equation', a report on shared waters between India and Pakistan. She also coordinated the team for the first phase of SFG's Himalayan Water Security Initiative and initially focused on China.
Sahiba contributed to the organization of the conference 'Responsibility to the Future - Business, Peace and Sustainability'. She also worked on 'Cost of Conflict in the Middle East' and 'Inclusive Semi-Permanent Conference for the Middle East' reports.
Prior to joining SFG, Sahiba worked as a Human Resource Generalist at the European-American Center for International Education, U.S.A. She has also worked as a Communication and Diversity Consultant in USA. Sahiba has a Masters in Business Administration with specialization in International Business from Eastern Michigan University, USA. She has done her Bachelors in Business Administration from MSU, Baroda.
